You Made My Day...

Funny how something you do so naturally comes so hard for others. I was doing my job, talking to guests making sure everything was alright and satisfactory. I started talking to a woman I have seen in the store on numerous occasions. Today her special needs daughter started high school and she was terrified she'd wouldn't make it. Being the people person I am, I relate to most people in one way or another. My son, who is very special in his own way struggled through school his whole life. He finally graduated last year at the age of 20 and a half. We could not have been prouder. To be honest I never expected him to go that far. I somehow took her mixed emotions and had her laughing and smiling as she prepared to leave. She hugged me and thanked me for caring and helping. Who knew? I was doing my job and just enjoying the conversation.
